Vintage 80's MEMBERS ONLY Cafe Racer LEATHER Biker Jacket or Bomber Coat Size 38 Excellent Condition!

Offered is a Members Only leather jacket in excellent vintage condition - it is impossible to tell this jacket is nearly 30 years old, and I doubt you will find one in better condition on ebay. What you will NOT find is this:  No rubs, scrapes, rips, tears, or damage of any kind. This jacket is the creme de la creme of vintage leather Members Only Jackets. The ONLY flaw to be found is some paint chipping on the zipper pull area, which, for the perfectionist, could be touched up without too much trouble. The photos (with flash) make it appear a bit more shiny than it truly is, but it does have a wonderful butter-smooth appearance and feel to the leather. The color is a bit difficult to pin down - it has dark chocolate brown undertones but also appears dark grayish-brown depending on the light, so please refer to the pictures for color, as I feel the color is portrayed pretty accurately (multiple pictures are posted below).  The inner lining is a nice silky chocolate brown with two inner breast pockets with no signs of wear. It is marked as a men's size 38, but can be worn by either men or women, so detailed measurements are provided:From left shoulder seam to right shoulder seam when fully zipped:  18 1/2''From shoulder seam to cuff: 25''From armpit to armpit when fully zipped: 21 3/4'' (43 1/4'' around)From shoulder seam to bottom of waistband: 25 1/4''Thanks for looking!

   THIS IS A VINTAGE BLACK LEATHER BIKER JACKET THAT WAS MADE BY SHELTER BAY -NEW YORK-LOS ANGELES-LONDON. IT IS APPROX A SIZE 40.  IT IS A VERY SOFT WELL WORN LEATHER. FRONT HAS SNAP AND ZIPPER CLOSURE WITH DOUBLE  NECK COLLAR. THERE ARE 2 GUSSETED POCKETS ON FRONT.  THE INSIDE HAS A ACETATE/VISCOSE LINING WITH A LARGE TEAR ABOVE THE ARM OPENING AND ANOTHER SMALL TEAR IN THE LINING OF ONE OF THE POCKETS.  SNAP CUFF CLOSURES AND EYELET AIR VENTS UNDER THE ARMS.    THIS IS IN GOOD CONDITION AND DOES HAVE SOME OF THE NORMAL WEAR ON THE EDGES.

How the Jackets
Came About

I am a former sportswriter at the Baltimore Sun and worked
in the Baltimore Colts PR department from 1969 - 1983.  I often wear my
original 42-year-old Colts jacket around town, and invariably people stop me, compliment
me, and ask "where can I get one?" Last year, my college roommate (Russ), his son (Brian)
and a friend of 49 years (Paul) asked for one; another friend (Tom) with whom I watch Ravens games,
wanted one, as did my brother (Bill); my niece's husband (Joe) asked for
one. So, I began to compile a list.  I
contracted to have jackets made for these friends, plus 15 others in various
sizes. The ones on eBay are custom-made, professionally embroidered and sewn
jackets, that are faithful, right down to the last stitch, to my jacket
from 1968-69. They were done at the sports apparel company in Baltimore that
used to letter and number the Colts uniforms, and now sews the Ravens uniforms.  The reason there seems to be such a demand is
the authenticity, quality, and faithfulness to the original.   By contrast, the Mitchell and
Ness' throwback is all wool (no leather sleeves), has a funky jumping horse
that's not the right logo, doesn't even say BALTIMORE anywhere on the jacket,
is cheaply made in the Orient, and to top it off, costs $400!
